Monsters that we refuse to acknowledge

Updated: Apr 20, 2018

we are always blabbing about monsters lurking in the shadows, but mostly at night times. Have we ever stopped to wonder, when have ever these imaginary monsters hurt us. The answer quite frankly is "never".

we are walking towards our home, passing through an empty alleyway and we feel like someone is following us or something is waiting for us in the shadows of the next street. But there is never anything that is hiding in the shadows, its just figment of our own imaginations. Its just something conjured up by our own over taxed imaginations.

The real monsters are not the one found in shadows but rather they walk in broad daylight amidst us. The real monsters are not exactly ugly and have pointy teeth. Most of the time, people who appear harmless and innocent, might be horrible inside, rotten to the core. Point is, never judge someone by their appearance, race or creed.

we remain vigilant and alert when traveling somewhere alone in the dark but the brightness of day make us feel safe. We are always looking behind us, when walking in a dark alley in night but the same alley seems safe during day, even if it is secluded.

Are we that naive? we gets sleepy to the sweet lullaby of the light. light is just an illusion, that is used as a disguise by those that could truly harm us. How many kids gets snatched in broad daylight? how many bombs gets blasted in daylight?
